Book Review: Angel Words by Dr. Doreen Virtue, PhD, and Grant Virtue
The book Angel Words is the latest offering of Doreen Virtue, who has authored several other angel books, including Healing with the Angels, Archangel Oracle Cards, and Angel Numbers 101. Doreen Virtue has been a natural clairvoyant her entire life, and has also received a PhD in counseling psychology from Clarkston University. In this book, she collaborates with her son Grant, who is a metaphysicist, theologist, and has obtained expertise in candle magic and music theory.
In the book Angel Words, Doreen and Grant Virtue state that the project began more or less by accident. When recording podcasts, they noticed that every time Doreen said the word “angel”, the corresponding recording graphics took on the shape of angel wings. From that point on, they begin experientimenting with both negative and positive words, to see what shapes these words took on. Negative words were tight and small, such as those which invoke pain in the mind of humans (thereby activating the pain centers in the brain). Conversely, positive words are open and energetic. To undo the effect of negative words, Doreen recommends using the “cancel, clear, delete” method – just like rebooting a computer, say or think this to start over and begin anew with positive sounds.
Angel Words offers visual proof of the power of positive speech. Doreen and Grant Virtue use convincing and initutive graphics to illustrate the evidence. Simply put, positive words generate more energy, and consequently, are more capable of manifesting your dreams. Negative words, conversely, have much less energy, and will attract more negative experiences. Doreen and Grant use this information to motivate and empower others, encouraging the use of positive, energetic speech to draw more energy near.
All in all, Angel Words is a simple-written, easy-to-understand guide that explains how language can affect your life in positive and negative ways. Doreen and Grant Virtue have managed to bridge the gap between science and the metaphysical with this interesting and provocative new theory. Words are merely sounds, and sounds all contain energy. You can produce energy simply by changing your speech, and affect positive change from the inside out. Angel Words is definitely a must-have for anyone who has enjoyed Doreen Virtue’s other books, or is interested in learning how positive and negative energy affects humans spiritually and in our daily lives.
